Welcome

Following the outstanding success of our inaugural scientific forum and the positive feedback from the professional community, the University of Szeged, Faculty of Health Sciences and Social Studies is proud to host the 2nd International Conference on Health Sciences. Once again, the “City of Sunshine,” Szeged, will welcome our participants from May 27–29, 2027.

Continuing the tradition established last year, our conference aims to present the latest research findings and developments in medical and health sciences. This international meeting provides an excellent platform for advancing health sciences education and fostering multidisciplinary collaboration and collective thinking across various scientific disciplines and research areas.

A key objective of the event is to encourage the exchange of experiences that drive innovation, as well as to review pivotal trends in everyday patient care. Beyond the challenges of practice, the etiology, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases, the conference focuses on specialized fields such as public health, medical ethics, sports medicine, and rehabilitation research. We place special emphasis on our Alumni, providing them with a platform to present their professional careers and share their experiences in modern patient care. To further strengthen our international ties, we are honored to welcome distinguished representatives of our EUGLOH partners, deepening the opportunities for scientific and educational cooperation.

Our program is designed to provide a high-quality experience for both professionals and students interested in the latest advancements in healthcare and medicine. To this end, we have invited prominent representatives of the national and international scientific community to deliver plenary lectures and symposia.

The conference will focus on the following key themes:

  • Artificial Intelligence and Health Sciences: Prospects and Pitfalls
  • Nutritional Science in the 21st Century: Challenges and Innovations
  • Climate Research and Health Sciences: Implications for Human Health
  • Health Behavior and Health Education: Optimal Timing for Intervention — Is It Already Too Late?
  • Social Media and Health: An Addictive Behavior with Adverse Health Consequences?

In addition to the 5 planned plenary lectures, we look forward to 25–30 scientific presentations organized into thematic sessions. The official language of the conference is English. The poster session will again hold a prominent place, offering young researchers, PhD students, and undergraduate students from Hungary and abroad the opportunity to present their work and integrate into the scientific community. We expect nearly 100 scientific abstracts in the poster session, covering medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, physiotherapy, nutritional science, sports science, nursing, and all sectors of health sciences.

The conference will also feature a public lecture in Hungarian by Professor Edit Tóth-Molnár, titled: “The Role of Nutritional Factors in Preserving Vision and Treating Eye Diseases: Myths and Realities.”

We look forward to welcoming our Colleagues and Students to Szeged in May 2027 for the 2nd International Conference on Health Sciences!
