Biography Lajos Csincsik, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Scientific Associate at Queen’s University Belfast. He began his academic journey at the University of Szeged, Hungary, before moving to the United Kingdom to continue his studies and research.
His work focuses on the development and application of cutting-edge retinal image analysis techniques to investigate ocular biomarkers in neurodegenerative conditions, including Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and age-related macular degeneration. His research is dedicated to establishing reliable, non-invasive, and accessible biomarkers to enhance the diagnosis and monitoring of these diseases. Beyond his scientific research, Dr. Csincsik is deeply committed to academic mentoring, supporting university students in their professional development.
